We're so thrilled to introduce you to our newest team member Anita Laskovsky, who is bringing our cakes to new heights and will also be teaching yummy classes here at our cake studio in Lynbrook 😍 Anita is so very talented, and even more humble, we have no doubt you will adore her and her cake creations too!!! ❤️ Here's a little summary of our interview notes from our recent lunch chit-chat. Cake Career Anita had her own successful cake business in Brisbane. She then moved to Melbourne where she worked at some of the major cake companies, while also giving demonstrations and teaching cake classes across Victoria. And did we mention she's a cake competition queen? Her award-winning cakes are nothing short of A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Passion for Teaching When asked about why she loves teaching, Anita explains that her greatest joy comes from witnessing the personal growth of her students, particularly in seeing their confidence blossom over time. Her top advice for budding bakers? Keep practising, no matter how tough it gets. Practice really does make perfect, and Anita is the living proof! Always Learning Anita is a self-taught cake decorator who learned through lots of trial and error. This makes her an effective teacher, as she guides students through her own mistakes. She recalls crying over failed sugar flowers, despite attending multiple classes, only to realize she was folding them wrong. Now, she insists her students practise in front of her to avoid any cake tantrum along the way lol
